Battle Scarred Motorsports

Our organization has and will continue to make an impact in the lives of military and first responder

Whether on the track or in our communities, teamwork is everything. Today, we're taking a moment to honor the shared purpose that brought this team together: the resilient spirit of veterans and first responders. We’re built on camaraderie, grit, and the unwavering resolve to never quit—values forged in service and proven in endurance racing. Forty-eight days after what most thought was a catastrophic accident at Ozarks International Raceway, Team Battle Scarred Motorsports - Texas Chapter raced THE MIGHTY PINTO in the ChampCar Endurance Series races at Harris Hill Road (H2R), just outside of San Marcos, Texas. Saturday brought 'recently repaired racecar' gremlins that we were not able to overcome until late into the evening. Sunday the Mighty Pinto ran flawlessly for 6 hours and 57 minutes of the 7 hour race. We only had to pit for driver changes and fueling. At the 3 minute to go mark what we think happened is the distributor gear stopped doing its thing, so we were flat-towed across the finish line. There were 31 teams entered for the race and we finished 2nd in class and 15th overall. Thanks to our great team of supporters, drivers and crew for making this another great weekend for Battle Scarred Motorsports. In December, we'll be racing at Barber Motorsports Park. If you'd like to participate or donate, check out battlescarred.org/.Drivers: Ray Baker Jr., Steve Jones, Roden Galloway & Adam McNeely.Crew: Tony Martin, Duarte Pamplona, Brian Fennell, Charlie Adams, Carl Owen.Helping to make all of this possible: Hot Shot's Secret, Racer Walsh Co., Cunningham's Collision, QA1, Hawk Performance, Rini Technologies, Kevko Racing, Boport Racing Heads 2, Arrow Machine, Fennell Performance Racing, Long Avenue Speed Shop. Also thanks to Chef John Obernuefemann for keeping us fed all weekend. ... BSM needs to replace several sets of safety gear. One full set of safety gear costs around $1,000. Please consider helping us raise the money needed to replace our gear. This is essential to our mission to get Veterans and First Responders, that may not have the means to purchase their own gear, involved in the race day experience.Click here for more information on how you can help:becauseone.com/n/battlescarredmotorsports/need/safety-gear-fund?id=y5eVXObEP@topfans ...
